-Two days after Rafik Saïfi ended his 5 month goalscoring drought, another Algerian international managed to put an end to his as Abdelkader Ghezzal scored two goal's in Siena's 3-3 draw away to Juventus. With Juventus scoring 3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the game, few had expected the result from Siena but a goal Massimo Maccarone in the 16th, and a brace for Ghezzal completed the come back for the Tuscan side. Ghezzal netted his first in the 46th minute, pouncing on a rebound after a Maccarone shot (Video). His second came in the 74th minute off a well taken penalty spot, leaving the Juventus keeper Chimenti with little chance (Video). Despite extending their unbeaten run to 5 games, Siena still remain last in the Serie A but are now just 4 points away from the safety zone.-In the Saudi League, forward Abdelmalek Ziaya made his league debut for Ittihad Jeddah in their Jeddah derby against rivals Al Ahli. While Ziaya did not have the best of games, receiving little service from his teammates, he did manage to pick up an assist on the lone goal of the game. Led down the left side of the box with a pass from Mohamed Noor, Ziaya got away from his defender and centered the ball back to the middle for Manaf Abushgeer, who made no mistake tapping it into the open net (Video). Ziaya was subbed off in the 62nd minute for Tunisian international Amine Chermiti but Ittihad managed to hold onto the win despite playing the last 25 minutes with just 10 men. Ittihad move up to 2nd in the league but with just 1 game left and a 14 gap with leaders Al Hilal, they have no chance at the title.
-In the Portuguese Liga, Nacional could not pull off the upset against visiting league leaders Benfica losing 1-0. Despite a good performance from Rafik Halliche, who played the full 90 for Nacional against his parent club, the central defender could have done better on the Benfica goal, losing track of Paraguayan striker Oscar Cardozo. The loss drops Nacional to 9th in the standings. In other Liga action, Vitória Setúbal took a huge step towards avoiding drop after winning 2-1 on the road to relegation threatened Leixões. Defender Kheireddine Zarabi played the whole game for Vitória in the right-back role.
-In the Spanish La Liga, Racing Santander drew 0-0 at home against Zaragoza. Midfielder Medhi Lacen, still recovering from his injury, started the game on the bench and played the last 4 minutes of the game. Santander has not won in 8 games and are just 4 points clear of the relegation zone.
-In France' s Ligue 1, Nassim Akrour started in Grenoble's 1-0 loss to Lille and was subbed off in the 86th minute.
-In the Belgian league, Mohamed Dahmane received a rare start for Club Brugge as they defeated Roeselare 1-0. Dahmane came off in the 90th minute with his side already up. The win cements their place in second place in the league. In other action, Westerlo won 2-1 at home against Cercle Brugge with youngster Lens Annab starting as usual for the home side. Finally, Charleroi lost 2-1 in their trip to Gent, with Mohamed Chakouri coming on as a second half substitute.
-In the first round of the 2010 season in Sweden's Allsvenkan, IF Brommapojkarna lost 1-0 on the road to Helsingborgs IF. Midfielder Dalil Benyahia started the game but was subbed off after just 28 minutes after the Bromma goalkeeper received a red card.
